Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) secured a pivotal victory in Jigawa State during the 2023 Nigerian presidential election, winning 19 out of 27 local government areas. Tinubu garnered 421,390 votes to defeat Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Atiku Abubakar, who polled 386,587 votes, strengthening the APC's position in the North-West zone.
