The story follows Claire Ward, a "straight-A student" and the more reserved of identical twins. In an attempt to get the attention of her long-time crush, Finn, Claire agrees to swap places with her sister, Lia, for a charity event. However, instead of Finn picking her up, his tattooed, "bad boy" half-brother, Bauer Davis, shows up instead.

Bauer, a professional snowboarder and the "black sheep" of his family, immediately realizes Claire is impersonating her sister.
